By buying an organic Cehoz™ product you’ve chosen an environmentally friendly product. Here you will find some tricks on how to continue this commitment in the future.
The washing can be done by hand or by washing machine. Our organic dying is guaranteed to be stable in time. However we suggest not to use temperatures higher than 40° celsius (104° Fahrenheit) and to wash with same color clothing or using “grab-color” paper. To best maintain screen printings it’s a good rule to wash clothing inside out to reduce the friction between clothing in the wash machine.
There are off the shelf natural detergents with neutral PH, biodegradable up to 90%.
Choosing a products of this kind will have three positive effects:
First will be the respect for the fabric of your Cehoz™ products as well as for all the rest of your laundry.
As second result you will respect your body by preventing the accumulation of harmful substances commonly present in traditional detergents (as phosphates, oxidants and optical whiteners) in the fabric. These substances can cause skin diseases and severe allergies.
Finally, by using nearly completely biodegradable detergents you will dramatically decrease the water pollution. As a matter of fact every substance that is harmful for Men is harmful to Earth too.
Chlorine bleaching is strictly proscribed because it damages color and is highly polluting.
Tumble drying is not recommended for Cehoz™ products for two different reasons: this kind of treatment can weaken the fabric and waste a lot of energy. Sun and air are two elements that can help to swiftly dry your clothes; we should use them as much as we can.
Ironing of Cehoz™ clothing products can performed at a maximum temperature of 110° Celsius (230° Fahrenheit) while steaming is not recommended. We remind you that screen printings suffer from ironing; to prevent any unwanted contact it’s a good idea to iron the clothing inside out.
Many washing machines have special functions for “iron-less” washing, with a softer spin-dryer. This will help having a laundry that does not require ironing. Good saving in time and energy!
Dry-cleaning is not recommended for Cehoz™ products because washing with solvents an organic clothing produced with a minimum usage of chemical products is an evident contradiction.
Despite this if dry-cleaning is really necessary (for example to eliminate particularly tough stains where the standard washing is not sufficient), the product can handle this kind of treatment.
