SingleTrack Torino nasce da un biker che vuole condividere informazioni sui bellissimi sentieri della collina Torinese. Oltre a varie pagine sui sentieri della collina Torinese (dal parco naturale di Superga fino al colle della Maddalena passando per Pino Torinese, Pecetto, Revigliasco etc.) su questo sito possiamo trovare anche delle recensioni su mountain bike ed accessori oltre ad una sezione dedicata alla buona educazione nei boschi con il galateo dei biker e molto altro ancora.

Cehoz è in continua evoluzione. Cehoz è un ideale, uno stile di vita, una filosofia. Oggi abbiamo unito il nostro modo di pensare e vivere con uno degli oggetti più “semplici” e diffusi al mondo: la T-Shirt. Ma lo abbiamo fatto in un modo tutto nostro. Cotone da agricoltura biologica per rispettare la terra e gli agricoltori. Tintura del tessuto con colori certificati GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) per rispettare i fiumi ed i lavoratori. Stampe realizzate con pigmenti privi di metalli pesanti, etichette in canapa naturale, confezione dei capi in laboratori certificati per qualità e rispetto delle normative sul lavoro. Packaging dal design e dai materiali eco-compatibili.

Momentaneamente Cehoz conclude il progetto abbigliamento con molti successi fra cui ricordiamo AiutoAbruzzo e Nets4Children. In attesa di nuovi prodotti ed iniziative vi lasciamo con il nostro Blog ed un breve riassunto delle collaborazioni di cui andiamo più fieri.

Alcuni dei prodotti Cehoz hanno contribuito al progetto AiutoAbruzzo a sostegno delle vittime del terremoto in Abruzzo creato in collaborazione con Giovani x Abruzzo iniziativa del Ministero della Gioventù ed MTV.

Cehoz ha anche creato la campagna di raccolta fondi per combattere la malaria in Africa Nets4Children in collaborazione con NutriAid.

L’assessore leghista e il sindaco Letizia Moratti avevano annunciato la valorizzazione delle imprese lombarde e italiane, invece dalle felpe alle palle di natale, tutto realizzato in Cina e nell’est asiatico.

E’ stato il giovane consigliere comunale del Pd, Pierfrancesco Maran, a denunciare che i prodotti di abbigliamento che pubblicizzazione il Made in Milano sono stai stampati su prodotti che arrivano da Cina, Cambogia e Bangladesh. Nulla di nuovo in effetti, nulla di strano, si ribadisce solo la norma di dire e poi fare “secondo le regole di mercato” come ha cercato di spiegare l’assessore comunale leghista, Alessandro Morelli.

Tanto rumore per nulla quindi, per aver creato il milionesimo brand Finto che stampa su prodotti pre-confezionati senza avere nessun nesso fra concept e realizzazione industriale.

Tutto questo ancora una volta ribadisce che il vero potere dei consumatori è quello di acquisto, informatevi su cosa acquistate, leggete le etichette e non sperate nella lealtà di chi vi vende un prodotto per qualcosa che non è.

The nobel prize Aung San Suu Kyi was released from the house arrest. This was the date her detention had been set to expire according to a court ruling in August 2009. She appeared in front of a crowd of her supporters who rushed to her house in Rangoon when nearby barricades were removed by the security forces. The Nobel Peace Prize winner had been detained for 15 of the past 21 years.

The Bloom Box: An Energy Breakthrough? – CBS News

The world of energy and entrepreneurship is crackling with electric anticipation this week after an India-born scientist-CEO provided a sneak peek over the weekend at a clean and efficient model of power generation-in-a-box that could eliminate the traditional grid and challenge monopolies.
Supporters are claiming that K R Sridhar’s ‘Bloom Box’, scheduled for a big-splash unveiling in Silicon Valley on Wednesday, could be the Holy Grail of the world’s energy quest; but even sceptics agree that it is a unique “power plant-in-a-box’’. What acres of power grid can generate, Sridhar’s Bloom Box can crank out in a fraction of the footprint—and in a squeaky clean manner.
It is already being done—on the campuses of Google and eBay among others. FedEx, Wal-Mart and Staples are among a score of Fortune 100 companies that have signed up as clients. Former US secretary of state Colin Powell, among those who endorse the technology, is on the board of directors of Sridhar’s Bloom Energy, an eightyear-old stealth start-up that raised more than $400 million from Silicon Valley’s venture capitalists at a time the region’s economy was in a tailspin.
At its heart, Sridhar’s Bloom Box claims to be a game-changing fuel cell device that consists of a stack of ceramic disks coated with secret green and black “inks’’. The disks are separated by cheap metal plates. Stacking the ceramic disks into a bread loaf-sized unit, he says, can produce one kilowatt of electricity, enough to power an American home—or four Indian homes. Washington: The Bloom Box of India-born K R Sridhar which, some say, is a power plant-in-a-box, can be installed anywhere and be connected to an electrical grid. Hydrocarbons such as natural gas or biofuel (stored in an adjacent tank) are pumped into the Bloom Box to produce clean, abundant, reliable electricity.
Sridhar’s Bloom Energy says the unit does not vibrate, emits no sound and has no smell, although he admits to some initial, but minor, glitches at some installations.
The big catch right now is cost. Large-sized Bloom Boxes of the kind installed at some Silicon Valley campuses costs around $700,000 to $800,000. Sridhar estimates that a Bloom Box for the residential market could be out in 5 to 10 years for as little as $3,000 to produce electricity 24/7/365.
But Silicon Valley, whose major venture capitalist Kleiner Perkins bankrolled Bloom Energy, is endorsing the technology. eBay said it has already saved $100,000 in electricity costs since its five boxes were installed nine months ago. It even claims that the Bloom Boxes generate more power than the 3,000 solar panels at its headquarters.
Prior to founding Bloom Energy, Sridhar was a professor of aerospace and mechanical engineering at the University of Arizona. He is also, literally, a rocket scientist, having served as an advisor to Nasa in the areas of nanotechnology and planetary missions.
